HR Assistant

Details: --> We have an outstanding Contract position for an HR Assistant to join a leading Company located in Inwood, NY.Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00The HR Assistant partners with our Safety and Compliance team to enhance the organization's HR initiatives by facilitating the efficient background checks and onboarding of new hires.Job Responsibilities: Assists with the FBI background check, fingerprinting, and badging processes. Serves as a liaison to candidates going through onboarding.Understands and explains company policies, programs, benefits and related information.Maintains employee personnel files, bulletin boards, recruiting tracker, exit interview tracker, and attendance system. Ensures that weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.Able to work 1st shift, Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed Basic Hiring Criteria:2-year college or equivalent is preferred.Prior work experience with at least 2 years of an administrative role with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.Experience working in an airline, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment is highly desirable.Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, action-oriented and collaborative.Must have strong computer and database application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Benefits offered vary by contract.
