Summary The Auditor IV, Contracts, in the Contracts Division, serves as an advanced-level auditor within the Office of Inspector General (OIG). The Auditor IV, Contracts Division, is responsible for independently evaluating complex contractor cost proposals, assessing internal controls, reviewing incurred costs, and determining the allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), cost accounting systems (CAS), and agency-specific policies. The incumbent's performance will be measured based on their demonstrated ability to plan, perform, and finalize audits within goals established for the Contract Audit program; to conduct contract reviews of all types and complexities. The incumbent reports to the Audit Manager with minimum supervision. Essential Functions Principal Job Duties + Performsadvanced auditsofcontractorcostproposals,incurred costsubmissions,pricing actions, and related cost representations. + Evaluatestheadequacyofcontractoraccountingsystemsandinternal controlstodetermine compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. + Assessestheallowability,allocability,andreasonablenessofclaimedcostsunderFAR,CAS,and agency-specific policies. + Conductsriskassessmentstodeterminethescopeanddepthofauditproceduresrequired. + Analyzescostdata,financial records,estimates,andsupportingdocumentationtoformaudit conclusions. + Preparesclear,well-supportedauditreportsthatdetailfindings, conclusions,and recommendations. + Presentsauditresultstointernalleadershipand,whenappropriate,tocontractorrepresentatives and program offices as needed. + Maintainsaccurate and complete audit work papers in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). Other Duties + Maintains and promotes awareness and accountability with safety policies and procedures while performing job functions. Promotes a positive safety culture and encourages reporting of safety concerns consistent with our Agency Safety Plan, other regulatory requirements within the Safety Management System and just culture principles.
