Position Number: 010669 Department: Housing and Residence Life (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + The Associate Director is a member of the departmentu2019s Residence Life Leadership Team who supervises, leads, and develops staff and provides vision/direction for specific content areas in the Residence Life unit. + The Associate Director for for Academic Initiatives and Staff Programs provides supervision and development for full-time, masteru2019s level Training and Development specialist, and Assistant Directors, as well as the professional and student staff assigned to their areas. + The Associate Director will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for Residence Life recruitment, selection and training programs at the professional, graduate and undergraduate student levels as well as guiding departmental initiatives related to the implementation of the Residential Curriculum and Learning Community program partnership. Minimum Experience / Education: + Masteru2019s degree (ideally in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel, or a related field) + Minimum of 5 years progressive professional experience in campus housing, student affairs or a related field. + Experience supervising graduate or professional staff + Experience serving in on-call response and/or in crisis management Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + Experience with the recruitment, selection, training and ongoing development of full-time and student staff + Experience with Human Resource functions + Experience with coordinating Learning Community programs or Academic Initiatives + Experience supervising graduate and professional staff + Experience serving in on-call response and/or in crisis management + Experience with Residential Curriculum
