Bar Back - Banquets Beverage

Description: A Barback is responsible to shadow and support bartenders by refilling garnishes, polishing glasses, stacking napkins, hauling kegs, bringing glassware back from the dishwasher. Equivalent of a busser, the barback makes sure that bartenders have everything they need (like glasses, garnishes, stocked bottles, fresh kegs) at all times. Theyu2019re also on the floor helping to clean up spills and retrieve more supplies. The ideal Barback Candidate will have a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lift a min of 30 lbs. Barback's Duties and Responsibilities: Before Service 1. Keep the bar fully stocked at all times. 2. Prep garnishes (lemon and lime wedges and wheels, herbs, bloody mary garnishes, pickles, olives, etc), and label and date containers. 3. Fill olive and lemon trays. 4. Refill ice wells. 5. Restock liquor bottles. 6. Change out beer kegs. 7. Replenish napkins, toothpicks, ashtrays, peanuts, and other counter items. 8. Maintain clean bar rags in each bartenderu2019s station. During Service 1. Clean counters. 2. Clean glasses and dishes. 3. Run drinks and clear glasses. 4. Clean drink spills and sweep broken glassware. 5. Help the bartenders with anything they need. 6. Take out the trash or recycling throughout the shift (and wash hands after handling any garbage). 7. Collect empty glasses from the bar. After Service 1. Clean counters. 2. Take out the trash or recycling throughout the shift (and wash hands after handling any garbage). 3. Clean glasses and some dishes. 4. Set up and tear down the bar at each shift. 5. Restock all bar containers for the next shift, including juicing citrus for bar use the next night.
