FIBER OPTIC SPLICER

Partner with project managers to plan and execute fiber optic installation and splicing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications. Assess fiber construction quality and readiness to ensure infrastructure meets required standards prior to splicing and activation. Create and implement detailed job plans and splicing strategies that optimize workflow, reduce downtime, and enhance overall efficiency. Perform precision splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables, using OTDRs, power meters, and other diagnostic equipment to ensure network integrity. Maintain accurate documentation of splicing work, including fiber assignments, test results, and as-built drawings, to support ongoing maintenance and compliance efforts. Foster strong working relationships with clients and internal teams by providing timely updates, technical support, and responsive communication throughout project lifecycles. Follow all safety regulations and industry best practices while working in a variety of field environments, including underground, aerial, and indoor telecom spaces.
