Senior Forming Operator

Job Title: Senior Forming Operator Department: Forming Shift: 3a-3p Number of Openings: 1 Pay Range: $25.40 Summary: This job requires the employee to be able to Make Ready and Run all Folder / Gluers, assist operators in troubleshooting their machines. The Senior Forming Operator will need to be proficient in entering work orders into JD Edwards, navigating the Plant floor data system. Work with the Maintenance department in routine maintenance of the machines. This position requires the Senior Forming Operator to train new hires (IFC's and Operator Trainees) in daily job functions and machine operation and fill in for the department lead when he/she is out. Be able to follow the daily production schedule and communicate with the shift lead and plant management. Protective Equipment Required: * Safety glasses, ear plugs, bump cap, steel toe boots, hairnet, beard net, gloves, face mask. Essential Knowledge: * Knowledge in advanced Make Ready and Operation of Folder / Gluers and other Finishing Equipment. General: * Compliance with workplace rules, policies and procedures, SQF, i.e. AIB, safety, etc. Essential/Marginal Functions and Physical Requirements: * Essential: Make Ready and operate a folder/gluer and Leary Glue and Detection System. Learn and be able to navigate the plant floor data system. Enter work orders into JD Edwards. Assist the Shift lead in daily crew management and production tasks. Fill in as Shift Lead during the absence of the Shift Lead. * Marginal: May be required to empty trash carts at compactor or baler room. Other duties as assigned.
