Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating vendor records within the PeopleSoft ERP system. The role ensures vendor information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. Location u2013 Remote (based in College Station, TX) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST In this role, you will: u2022Create, maintain, and update vendor records in the PeopleSoft ERP system. u2022Validate vendor information including bank details, tax forms, address, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy and confirm proper documentation is archived. u2022Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and business stakeholders to resolve vendor setup issues, discrepancies, and prevent vendor entries. u2022Conduct periodic data audits to maintain vendor master data integrity, identify anomalies, and support cleanup initiatives. u2022Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and data-governance standards while meeting SLA commitments for vendor setup and updates. u2022Ensure process guidelines are followed and met as documented. u2022Follow all documented process guidelines and contribute to meeting productivity, quality, and accuracy targets. u2022Proactively raise process issues to the process lead or team lead as needed. u2022Respond to process-related questions, expedite requests, and escalate matters requiring additional support. u2022Uphold organizational security practices and compliance standards. u2022Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership. u2022Perform additional duties as assigned. Hourly Rate and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 u2013 $20.00 per hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
