Strategic Account Manager Rochester, NY ( Job Type Full-time Description BASIC PURPOSE: The Injection Molding Account Manager serves as the primary commercial and relationship owner for assigned customer accounts. This role is responsible for managing existing business, supporting new program launches, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycleu2014from quoting and tooling through production and ongoing support. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Relationship Management u00b7 Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts u00b7 Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships u00b7 Understand customer business needs, technical requirements, and program timelines u00b7 Manage customer communications related to pricing, schedules, quality, and delivery Sales & Business Development u00b7 Support RFQs and quoting activities in coordination with estimating and engineering u00b7 Identify opportunities for new business, program expansions, and cost-down initiatives u00b7 Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and program changes u00b7 Forecast sales and manage account-level revenue targets Program & Launch Support u00b7 Coordinate new program launches from award through production ramp-up u00b7 Work cross-functionally with engineering, tooling, quality, and operations u00b7 Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and met u00b7 Track milestones for tooling, sampling (T0u2013PPAP), and production readiness Internal Coordination u00b7 Serve as the voice of the customer internally u00b7 Align customer expectations with manufacturing capabilities and constraints u00b7 Facilitate resolution of issues related to quality, delivery, or cost u00b7 Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives Reporting & Administration u00b7 Maintain accurate account records, pricing, and forecasts in CRM or ERP systems u00b7 Prepare customer presentations, reviews, and performance reports u00b7 Support contract management and change control documentation Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Required u00b73+ years of experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles in injection molding or plastics manufacturing u00b7Strong understanding of injection molding processes, tooling, and materials u00b7Ability to interpret customer drawings, specifications, and program requirements u00b7Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills u00b7Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office tools Preferred u00b7Experience managing OEM or Tier 1 customers u00b7Familiarity with automotive, medical, industrial, or consumer molded products u00b7Experience supporting tooling builds and product launches u00b7Background in engineering, manufacturing, or project management Salary Description 90,000 - 120,000
