Overview: The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)-Market Management team is responsible for partnering with top-level leaders of Edward Jones's 15,000+ branch system (market leaders, division leaders, and Market Management leadership and teams) to drive strong field financial performance through robust financial analysis, insights, reporting, and plans. We are responsible for enabling decision making, evolving financial planning processes, and providing insightful and action-oriented financial reporting and analysis in partnership with our key stakeholders. What you'll do: The Senior FP&A Analyst partners with relevant stakeholders across Market Management, Finance, Digital, Firm Analytics, FP&A, and other areas to: + Lead market annual and multi-year planning processes (in partnership with Market Management) by gathering and validating data, analyzing actual and forecasted results, and communicating with all levels of leadership. + Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to understand and articulate the financial impact of business decisions. Manage multiple deliverables with multiple stakeholders simultaneously. Apply a wide variety of analytical techniques, visualizations, and communication techniques to ensure a high quality, actionable end-product. + Develop high impact, action-oriented analysis and recommendations in partnership with key stakeholders. Translate information, trends, and data into insights for senior leadership to improve performance, minimize risk, lower costs, improve investment decisions, and/or capitalize on new opportunities + Build reporting, KPIs, financial drivers, and dashboards that provide insights to improve performance and complement existing reporting infrastructure. Deliver model updates, assumption refinement, and quantitative analysis improvements. + Effectively communicate analysis recommendations to team, peers, and leaders. Packages complex analysis materials into easily digestible materials, PowerPoints, and narratives with a clear story. Can simplify complex analysis artifacts for executive consumption and also guide/teach teams to do the same. + Develop a trusted and diverse network of relationships in and beyond current function, has existing trust-based relationships, and has a network to rely on. Occasionally manages external relationships. + Participate in and regularly lead cross-functional teams + Mentor associates and provide informal people leadership + Contribute to team strategy and vision setting. + Proactively develop self, demonstrating progress across the
