Organization Description Southern Nuclear Job Description Project Manager u2013 Project Management Office (PMO)- This position can site at any SNC site. JOB SUMMARY: Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) operates one of the nationu2019s most respected nuclear generating fleets. The Project Management Office (PMO) provides governance, oversight, and strategic guidance to ensure consistent project execution across the fleet. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the PMO team to support project assessments, lifecycle management, and audit functions for projects of varying complexity. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating project governance, conducting independent assessments, and providing oversight to ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and SNC standards. This role will interface with project teams across multiple nuclear sites, providing leadership and support to drive superior performance, safety, and reliability in project execution. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. u2022 Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is strongly preferred. u2022 Advanced degree or specialized training in project management or nuclear industry operations is a plus. Experience Preferences: u2022 Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience, preferably within a highly regulated industry such as nuclear energy, power generation, or utilities. u2022 Experience managing or overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary projects across all phases of the project lifecycle. u2022 Demonstrated experience applying project governance frameworks, risk management, and quality assurance principles. u2022 Prior experience conducting project assessments, audits, or performance reviews is highly desirable. u2022 Working knowledge of nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices (e.g., INPO, NRC, PMI) preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities u2022 Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking. u2022 Ability to assess project health and compliance with governance standards and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. u2022 Expertise in risk identification, mitigation strategies, and change management processes. u2022 Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence project outcomes through collaboration and effective communication. u2022 Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Power BI). u2022 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present clear findings. u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. u2022 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present reports to senior management. u2022 Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple plant sites and corporate offices. u2022 Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. u2022 Maintain unescorted access to all SNC facilities.
