JOB SUMMARY:The Puesto Manager - Prepared Foodshas responsibility fortotalPuestoperformance,including theP&Lfor theirassignedPuesto andallrelatedproduct categoriesthroughbuilding andmaximizingan optimizedstrategy andplanformenu,price, promotion&seasonal rotations,quality, production,total customer experience,sourcingstrategies and the tactics to achieve them.Works in partnership with DepartmentLeader, Field Team, R&D, Commissaryand Operations todevelop,communicate,trainand implement successful strategies that meet the companyobjectivesof fresh,authenticand on-trendMexicanFoods.Driveseffective programs and offerings that deliverand maximizedefined MealOccasions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and grow our image as the premierMexicanprovider of authentic goods and flavors. Createmenu offerings andprograms that will deliver quality,serviceand customer satisfaction;Maintainour competitive edge through continuous improvement of products, processes,customer experience,ingredients, suppliers,trainingandassociatedevelopment.Develop and execute effective offerings that capture and maximize defined meal occasionsacross all targeted customer segments.Deliver amenu thatdeliverson our goal of differentiation throughMexicanauthenticity and cultural relevance while also staying true to current customer trends and eating habits.Analyzes categoryand menuperformance across a variety of indicators - sales, gross profit,shrink,contributionand profitabilityand developannual and seasonalcategoryand Puestoplans based on a thorough understanding of themenu, consumer, and the marketplace.Develops and executes strategic plans to support categoryand menusales and margin goals. Managesmenuassortmentto maximize freshness, appeal,qualityand customer experienceto meet consumermeal occasionneedsboth annually and seasonally.Ensuresmargin targets are met while preserving our pricing position and strategies. Partners with Procurement, R&D and Commissaryto ensure best quality products and sourcing is achieved to satisfythemenu quality,volumeand availability.Monitors raw materials and other product costs to ensure bestquality ingredients,vendorpricingand ability to manage retail prices effectively. Perform frequent and regular store visits tomonitorexecutionand adjust strategies.Partner with Operationsto review and constantly strive for improved processes that emphasizethe end to end customer experienceincluding:5S cleanliness and sanitation, workplace organizationand efficient process/standards, labor efficiency,associate safety,delivery of exceptional customerhospitality, consistency of product quality, provision and utilization of appropriate equipment, and attractivenessand qualityofend product packaging andpresentationuntil consumption.Work with Operations and Field Trainers to set clear expectations and directionregardingbusiness processes, service standards,andlabor requirements to achieveoptimalin-store execution of authentic goods and programs.Directsand partners withtheReplenishmentTeamto ensure product availability, consistency of supply and service levelobjectivesand applies cost-of-goods insights to drive increased efficiency.Owns final menu development in partnership withFood Development Committee andR&D includingnew products,rotational seasonalofferingsand associatedquality.Works with Marketing and Operations to ensure successful communicationof our offerings.Understands ourcustomerand the market trends in food and develops category plans to drive increased sales performance.Assessesthecompetitivefoodlandscapeto understand their strengths and weaknesses andidentifyopportunities andthreats,includingalltraditional and non-traditionaltrade vestigates and pursues new distributionandfulfillmentopportunities toleveragefreshness while balancingthe cost of goods.POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:Education/Experience/SkillsCollege degree preferredorminimum of 5 yearsequivalent experience invariousFreshorPrepared Foodsrelated industries5-10 years of retailor restaurantexperience preferredSpecial considerationis given to applicants who have completed theWAFC Retail Management Certificate Program (RMCP).Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:Skilled in the following areas usinginternal,market, or otherdata:Customer ExperienceFood costingMenu developmentSales analysis,profitabilityand planningDemonstrated excellence in Strategic Planning as it relates torestaurantoffering andmenu, as well as setting annual and seasonalplansExcellent financial and data analysis capabilitiesSupply chainand sourcingknowledgeAble to discuss and negotiate:TermsLower cost of goodsMenu pricingExcellent communication and team building skillsBi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferredSalary: $95,316 -$121,528Physical Demands and ConditionsThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
