Job Description

The Press Utility role has primary responsibilities including assisting and performing duties alongside press crew members as directed. The role will extend to the efficient movement of materials throughout the plant, utilizing mobile powered equipment to ensure seamless workflow. In addition to supporting press operations, the Press Utility role plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This includes the provision of various supplies to different departments and the timely disposal of waste by emptying trash as directed. Adaptability, attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate will be key attributes in contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist Press team as neededLoads and unloads trucks as neededOperates mobile powered equipment in a safe and efficient manner moving supplies and material throughout the plantMust attend and pass Forklift Operators Safety courseEmpty trash containers as neededEmpty scrap hoppersResponsible for making sure forklift is maintained in a safe working order. Reports any defects to Shift Foreman or Supervisor. Completes preventative maintenance and corresponding paperwork as directedReplaces propane bottle refueling mobile powered equipment as needed. Places empty in the proper areaCompletes any paperwork required by the positionAssist with maintaining a neat and orderly plant, ensuring aisle ways are kept clearWill perform general housekeeping duties as directedFollow company rules and regulations regarding work and safety practicesPerforms other duties as assignedIdeal Candidate Will Have:EducationHigh school diploma or equivalentExperienceOne or more years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceOther Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distanceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
