Project Controls Intern

POSITION: Project Controls InternLOCATION: Orem, UTJOB SUMMARYThe Project Controls Intern will support WW Clyde’s Project Controls team with scheduling, cost tracking, reporting, and data analytics. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to help ensure reporting is accurate, risks are identified early, and project information is organized and useful for decision making. This internship is ideal for someone who is tech savvy, learns new tools quickly, communicates well, and enjoys working with data.RESPONSIBILTIESSupport cost and performance tracking, including basic cost reports, labor reports, and trend support under supervision.Assist with schedule and budget reporting, including progress updates and simple forecasting against a baseline.Help maintain project controls plans, trackers, and reporting tools for schedules, budgets, and scope.Build and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards used for month end reporting and management updates.Support data cleanup and project setup tasks, including organizing project controls files and standard reports.Assist with process improvement efforts, including documenting workflows and helping test new tools or software.Communicate clearly with team members to gather inputs, confirm assumptions, and meet deadlines.QUALIFICATIONSCurrently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Strong Excel skills required. Experience with Power Query, Power BI, and Smartsheet is a plus.Comfortable working with numbers and learning how cost, schedule, and forecasting tie together on construction projects.Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through.Confident communicator who can work well with a team and also complete tasks independently.Ability to work in office in Orem, UT for the duration of the internship.To learn more about WW Clyde and our work, visit wwclyde.net.*As part of our hiring process, all candidates are subject to a comprehensive background check.
