Learn more about the benefits of joining Team UES and our core values at .Position OverviewThis position is based in our Dallas office and will be approximately 50% people management and 50% hands-on laboratory work. We are looking for someone with strong initiative and drive, someone who can actively lead, keep the team motivated, and support day-to-day lab operations., An Assistant Laboratory Manager will assist in managing the daily operations and staff within our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) laboratory, including testing of concrete, aggregate, soil, rock, masonry, and asphalt. This role is also responsible for the coordination, organization, and tracking of project samples to ensure testing is completed accurately and efficiently.Responsibilities, Performance or coordination of construction materials testing on materials such as flowable fill, aggregate, reinforcing bars, masonry, and asphaltCoordination and scheduling of laboratory testing assignmentsPerforming, and/or coordinating others in, timely calibrations and maintenance of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standardsMaintaining documentation of equipment maintenance and calibrations for compliance with AASHTO Accreditation Program requirements, including internal and external auditsFrequent use of gINT or Geosystems and field and laboratory information management systems, for recording and reporting testing results.Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies and procedures.Accurately document and report test results, maintaining detailed, organized, and error-free records.Assist with sample preparation, handling, and proper storage, ensuring sample integrity, traceability, and adherence to laboratory protocols.Operate laboratory testing equipment.Follow strict safety protocols and laboratory procedures, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the laboratory team, field technicians, and project managers as needed.Assist with interviewing and hiring lab technicians for the lab,
