Credit Manager II

Description We are looking for an experienced Credit Manager II to lead and oversee credit operations in Van Nuys, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing credit risk, ensuring timely collection of payments, and supporting the financial stability of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of credit policies and procedures. Responsibilities: u2022 Assess and approve credit applications by analyzing financial statements, credit scores, and risk factors. u2022 Develop and update credit policies and procedures to maintain consistency and regulatory compliance. u2022 Monitor accounts receivable and manage overdue accounts to minimize financial risks. u2022 Supervise and guide credit staff, ensuring efficient departmental operations and attention to detail in staff development. u2022 Set credit limits and payment terms while collaborating with collection agencies when necessary. u2022 Provide insights to sales teams to balance profitability with credit risk management. u2022 Analyze customer creditworthiness and control overall credit exposure to reduce bad debt. u2022 Ensure timely collections and resolve disputes related to credit and payments. u2022 Support business growth by aligning credit strategies with organizational goals. u2022 Generate reports and present findings to senior management to aid strategic decision-making. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related field. u2022 Proven experience in credit management or related roles. u2022 Strong analytical skills and ability to assess financial risks effectively. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication abilities. u2022 In-depth knowledge of credit laws, regulations, and industry practices. u2022 Leadership and team management skills. u2022 Proficiency in problem-solving and negotiation techniques. u2022 Familiarity with commercial credit collections and analysis processes.
