Position Highlights: Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development What you will do: The LMSW/LMHC is responsible for providing services to victims/survivors of sexual, physical and domestic violence, stalking, other crimes and to secondary victims of crimes. This position specifically focuses on providing trauma-informed therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups who have survived traumatic events with a caseload consisting of community referrals. These services may include: assistance with completing New York State Office of Victim Services compensation claims, crisis counseling and short-term counseling, advocacy, and accompaniment through the criminal, family, and civil court proceedings. Additionally, this position assists with responding to crisis situations that come through our 24-Hour Hotline. This may include accompaniments to the ED and acting as a supportive advocate in legal matters and in securing needed services. Responsibilities: + Maintain a therapy caseload of 20 to 25 individual clients seen weekly. + Provide supportive services, including but not limited to crisis intervention, counseling/therapy, advocacy, compensation assistance. + Assist with staffing the programs 24-hour hotline (minimum of 4, 12-hour shifts per month). What You Will Need: + A Masteru2019s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field required. + A valid NYS driveru2019s license and dependable transportation are also required. + Previous experience providing counseling to individuals and groups ages 12 and older is strongly desired. + Experience working with victims/survivors of crime is preferred. + LMSW/LMHC preferred. + Willingness to obtain Limited Licensure through NYS Education Department required if not yet licensed. + Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and the Department of Corrections is desired. + NYS Department of Health Sexual Assault Counselor Certification is required but will be provided to the desired candidate at no cost if not yet certified. Pay Range: $30.00 - $43.08 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
