Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patientu2019s health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives. Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patientu2019s plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members. Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Schedule: Nights Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required] u2022 Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. [Required] u2022 Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices. [Required] u2022 Critical thinking/problem-solving skills. [Required] u2022 Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department. [Required] u2022 Basic computer skills. [Required] u2022 Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. [Required] u2022 Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. u2022 Previous EKG Interpretation Class preferred.
