Winter Haven Hospital , part of the BayCare Health System , is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Pool/PRN to join our Acute Therapy Services team. This role involves providing inpatient speech therapy services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting. Winter Haven Hospital is designated as a Get With The Guidelinesu00ae - Stroke Gold Plus and accredited by the Commission on Cancer. Specialty units/programs also include cardiovascular ICU. Acute Speech Therapist Pool/PRN Responsibilities: + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patientsu2019 speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care. + Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery. + Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. + Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning. + Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as needed. Qualifications: + Required: + Masteru2019s degree in Speech-Language Pathology + Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology + Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification + Preferred: + 1+ year of clinical experience in an inpatient or acute care setting + Experience with modified barium swallow studies and dysphagia management Facility: BayCare Health System, Rehab Services Main-WHH Location: Winter Haven Hospital - Winter Haven, FL Status: Pool, Exempt: No Shift Hours: varies/Days Weekend Work: Occasional On Call: No How often will this team member be working remotely?
