DeltaV Lead Engineer u2013 Life Sciences Work Model: Remote Job Type: Full-time Industry: Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Life Sciences Job Summary A DeltaV Lead Engineer in the life science industry is responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of Emersonu2019s DeltaV automation system within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology manufacturing environments. This role oversees DeltaV-related projects, ensures compliance with industry regulations, and provides deep technical expertise and support. The engineer will drive system performance, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement across the DeltaV ecosystem. Key Responsibilities u00b7 Design, implement, maintain, and support Emerson DeltaV systems in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. u00b7 Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DeltaV hardware, software, and batch control strategies. u00b7 Ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory standards through proper validation and documentation. u00b7 Lead and manage DeltaV-related automation projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. u00b7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Engineering, and Quality to integrate DeltaV with broader manufacturing processes. u00b7 Provide ongoing maintenance, periodic reviews, and upgrades to ensure system integrity and performance. u00b7 Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, user manuals, SOPs, and change control records. u00b7 Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the DeltaV system and related automation environments. u00b7 Train operators, engineers, and maintenance personnel on DeltaV system functionality, troubleshooting, and operational best practices. u00b7 Support and collaborate on related technologies (PLC, SCADA, OSI PI, etc.) as needed. Required Qualifications u00b7 Proven hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system design, configuration, implementation, and support. u00b7 Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology manufacturing environments. u00b7 Strong understanding of automation principles including DCS, PLCs, and SCADA systems. u00b7 Expertise in regulatory and validation frameworks (cGMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11). u00b7 Excellent analytical and problemu2011solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues. u00b7 Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. u00b7 Project management experience overseeing automation initiatives from concept to delivery. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is in the range of $113,000 to $130,000, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for performanceu2011based bonuses in accordance with company compensation policies.
