Job Title: Kubernetes Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer to join our team as a PaaS Architect. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced technologies that support national defense and intelligence services. You will collaborate with esteemed customers to develop solutions for high-stakes national security missions, working within a multidisciplinary team including hardware, software, and cybersecurity experts. Responsibilities + Work on Platform as a Service (PaaS) for submarine combat system infrastructure. + Create innovative product solutions that meet customer and business objectives. + Communicate software solutions and designs to medium and large teams of software engineers. + Manage infrastructure ecosystem PaaS, troubleshooting, and SWFTS integration. + Evolve system design with Non-Functional Requirements, focusing on resource allocation and holistic approaches. + Resolve complex issues and conduct research spikes. + Develop PaaS product vision and manage agile teams. + Support DevOps and CI/CD processes. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. + 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of job-related experience. + Agile or SCRUM experience. + Kubernetes experience. + Department of Defense Secret security clearance. + U.S. citizenship. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Ansible, Python, Linux, AWS, Azure. + Experience building and deploying Kubernetes. + Creating CI/CD pipelines and implementing them. + Strong communication skills and effective presentation abilities. + Knowledge of technology trends and ability to champion new ideas. + Ability to handle complex assignments and solve challenging problems. + Creative thinking and multi-tasking capabilities. + Experience with development for Real Time Operating Systems. Work Environment This role is based on-site in Manassas, with the option of a 9/80 schedule if desired. Core working hours are from 10 AM to 3 PM, with flexibility for consultants to arrive earlier or leave later to avoid traffic. The position allows for growth in Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline knowledge, and interaction with a Scrum Master to ensure accurate server operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $65.00/hr.
