Job Title: PCB Designer Job Description We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer to complete a mezzanine design project that is urgent and requires immediate attention. The design work must be completed using Altium, as it hosts our parts library. The scope of the routing work involves designing RX and TX differential pairs, ADC groups, FPGA clocks, and interfaces. Additional design elements include power and I2C interfaces, with rules already set up in Altium to guide the process. Responsibilities + Design 4 RX differential pairs and 4 TX differential pairs for fiber operating at 10G, ensuring length matching within RX and TX groups. + Use backdrill or blind vias to eliminate stubs and place anti-pads around via pairs. + Position GND vias close to layer transition vias for effective signal integrity. + Design 4 RX differential pairs per ADC for 2 ADCs operating at approximately 5G, with length matching within ADC groups. + Create FPGA CLK and SYSREF CLK interfaces at 75MHz and 2.34MHz, with length matching and appropriate via management. + Develop I2C interface and power connections to the Fiber TCVR. + Adhere to established design rules within Altium for all tasks. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Altium design software. + Experience in PCB layout and design. + High-speed digital design experience. Work Environment The work environment involves using Altium design software for PCB layout and design tasks. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to established design rules within the software. The position is based in an office setting where precise and timely completion of design projects is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fairfax, VA.
