Description Robert Half has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Garner to assist them in hiring an experienced Controller. Manufacturing/Cost Accounting experience and supervisory experience are required for consideration. This onsite Controller role primarily revolves around the coordination of all financial and accounting activities. The Controller will be a key liaison with site leadership, providing valuable insights into the financial operations and ensuring that all business needs are met from a financial perspective. This permanent position offers a competitive salary, growth potential and an annual bonus program, Responsibilities u2022 Conduct detailed analysis and explanation of financial reports u2022 Manage all aspects of general accounting, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Credit and Collections, and General Ledger u2022 Oversee the month-end and year-end close process for the site, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements u2022 Handle sales, use tax, and other tax returns u2022 Prepare daily and weekly performance reports and operational metrics for distribution to management u2022 Oversee all billing and accounts payable activities, with disbursements centralized offsite u2022 Maintain Fixed Asset register and monitor capital spending u2022 Monitor and enhance the internal control environment, implementing systems, policies, and procedures that improve performance, reporting, and internal controls u2022 Cost Accounting and inventory management Requirements u2022 A minimum of seven years of experience in the field of accounting or finance. u2022 Proficiency in Month End Close procedures. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in Financial Statement Preparation. u2022 Experience in Cost Accounting. u2022 Understanding of Inventory Accounting procedures. u2022 Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting. u2022 Proven skills in Account Reconciliation. u2022 Ability to handle Budgeting and Forecasting tasks. u2022 Proficiency in Variance Analysis. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. u2022 Experience with General Ledger management. u2022 Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries.
