Packer Job Description As a Packer, you will be responsible for folding and packing finished products, placing the folded products into packaging, and standing throughout the entire shift. Shifts Available 1st Shift: 6:00 AM u2013 2:30 PM - 16.50/hr 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM u2013 11:30 PM - 17.50/hr Responsibilities + Fold and pack finished products. + Place folded products into appropriate packaging. + Stand for the duration of the shift. Essential Skills + Proficiency in packing and production processes. + Ability to fold products efficiently. Work Environment This role is with a Contract Manufacturing Medical Device Company that has seen 30% growth over the past year and employs 800 people at the St. Charles location. The production floor primarily consists of industrial sewing machines within a clean GMP environment. Hair nets and beard nets are required. The facility is not climate-controlled, so it can become warm in the summer, but fans are provided at each sewing station and throughout the production area. The workforce is diverse, with over 5-6 languages spoken. Candidates who are not fluent in English may face challenges in sewing class but can succeed with translation technology. The shifts are as follows: 1st Shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with optional overtime from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm and 5 hours on Saturday once certain performance rates are met; 2nd Shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with optional overtime from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and 5 hours on Saturday once certain performance rates are met. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr.
