Job Description Our customer is seeking an experienced MEP/ Commissioning (Cx) Manager to support and execute MEP and commissioning efforts on large-scale mission-critical and data center projects. This role reports to the Director of MEP / Commissioning (Cx) and is responsible for leading day-to-day MEP coordination and commissioning activities to ensure systems are designed, installed, tested, and turned over in alignment with project requirements, schedule, and budget. What Youu2019ll Do - Lead all MEP and commissioning activities from preconstruction through system turnover and closeout on mission-critical and data center projects. - Coordinate with designers, trade partners, vendors, commissioning agents, and clients to ensure alignment with performance criteria, redundancy requirements, and operational expectations. - Develop and manage detailed commissioning and startup schedules integrated into the master project schedule, including milestone tracking and phased system turnover. - Oversee the full commissioning lifecycle for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems. - Review and validate drawings, specifications, submittals, testing procedures, and O&M manuals to ensure constructability, compliance, and system interoperability. - Identify and proactively mitigate risks to system reliability, redundancy, and uptime; experience with Tier Iu2013IV facilities is strongly preferred. - Ensure system handover meets owner requirements, including complete documentation, test results, training, and operational readiness. - Act as the primary liaison for all MEP and commissioning-related scopes, both internally and externally, with clear ownership of communication and accountability. - Coordinate closely with owners, design teams, trade partners, commissioning authorities, and facility operators to maintain transparency on progress, risks, and resolution strategies. - Lead MEP coordination meetings, commissioning planning sessions, and site walks to resolve conflicts and ensure quality execution. - Support development and management of MEP budgets, scopes of work, and procurement strategies, including long-lead equipment tracking. - Review, track, and assist with MEP-related RFIs, submittals, change orders, and commissioning deliverables. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all commissioning activities, including issue logs, test scripts, reports, and final closeout packages. - Lead QA/QC efforts for all MEP installations, ensuring systems are installed per contract documents and tested to meet owner performance criteria. - Partner with site safety teams and trade partners to enforce rigorous safety standards, particularly during startup, energization, and live system testing.
