FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40 Shift: 1st ShiftDetails: Standard office hours are 8am - 4:30pm but there is flexibilitywith your schedule. Job Summary: Responsible for collecting, analyzing,and distributing denial and write off data for federal, state andcommercial payers. Identifies trends and issues related to denials andwrite offs. Works with other departments including Admitting, HealthInformation Management (HIM), Case Management, clinical staff, ResourceManagement and Patient Financial Services (PFS) to implement processimprovements for denial and write off reduction strategies. Other dutiesas assigned. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of hospital billingoffice, or utilization review or coding experience in a hospital settingis required. Experience in denial management is preferred. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree is required. In lieu of degree equivalentrelevant hospital experience is required. Relevant experience wouldinclude: team lead or supervisor experience in a hospital billingoffice, extensive experience leading denial management activitiesincluding report writing, leading workgroup activities related todenials, implementing denial reduction tactics, and tracking of outcomesover time. Prior job history should include experience that would becommonly gained through bachelors degree education including writingcompetency and public presentation. SPECIAL SKILLS: Analysis andProject management for Denials and Claims, Report writing knowledge, andcomfortable presenting In front of C-level executives. MicrosoftOffice applications, Document Imaging , Midas, Patient Accountingsystems, Knowledge of medical terminology and coding. Knowledge ofthe revenue cycle, payer claim adjudication process and payer denialreasons. Knowledge of managed care contracts and government billing(Medicare & Medicaid) as it applies to reimbursement and denials,appropriate medical necessity documentation in the medical record, ICD-9codes that apply to CMS's LCD and NCD coverage, CMS and commercialpayor regulations and medical necessity criteria for inpatient andoutpatient LOC. Compensation, Benefits & Perks at Froedtert Health Payis expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $24.05 - $38.48.Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with youby the recruiter during the interview process.
