This role involves converting customer drawings into simple, detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D and coordinating project delivery. Work with a dynamic team based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, supporting six manufacturing plants across North America. Responsibilities + Convert customer drawings into detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D. + Create manufacturing and delivery plans for products. + Coordinate internally and with customers to solve problems and ensure timely project delivery. + Work on multiple projects at different stages of completion. + Utilize a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-in (training provided). Essential Skills + Experience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or related industries. + Understanding of structural loads and connections. + Ability to review decking design drawings and connections. + Familiarity with the design approval process and client/fabrication plant collaboration. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Direct experience with joists and/or decking design. + Experience in leadership or training roles. + Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. + Flexible mindset and ability to adjust quickly to new tasks. + Accountability for metrics, results, and drawing quality. + Goal-oriented and deadline-driven approach. + Capability to give and receive feedback effectively. + Adaptability to company culture and attitude. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
