Now Hiring: Cashier Location: Morgantown, WV Department: Finance Schedule: Monday through Thursday | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Non-Exempt Starting Pay: $18.11 per hour Position Overview Our client in Morgantown is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cashier to join their Finance Department. This role is responsible for accurately receipting funds, balancing daily transactions, preparing bank deposits, maintaining financial records, and providing excellent customer service to citizens and business owners. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with a four-day workweek. Key Responsibilities Process all revenues received by mail, email, over the counter, EFT, and internal departments Balance the cash drawer and revenue reports daily Prepare accurate bank deposits for multiple accounts Maintain detailed records for all revenue sources Process and track health insurance payments Maintain spreadsheets for excise taxes, franchise fees, garbage fees, and municipal court collections Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and certified packages Serve as front office receptionist, responding to public inquiries and requests Meet month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial deadlines Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Director or Assistant Finance Director Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred Minimum of two years of clerical or professional experience Strong attendance and reliability Ability to accurately count money and provide correct change Proficiency with Windows-based computers Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Preferred Qualifications Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment Positive attitude with a willingness to learn Experience operating commercial folding/inserter machines and postage meters is a plus Ability to carry equipment up to 20 lbs Apply Now!!
