Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience in accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the workflow approval process for expense invoices to ensure timely processing. u2022 Review and reconcile invoices that encounter scanning errors, resolving discrepancies effectively. u2022 Post invoices into the workflow system and verify accuracy of documentation. u2022 Set up and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring compliance with company standards. u2022 Manage and update accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate files. u2022 Assist with monthly closings by preparing necessary documentation and account analysis. u2022 Evaluate and code invoices accurately to the general ledger and update inventory records. u2022 Provide support and collaborate on special projects. u2022 Perform administrative tasks such as filing and copying to maintain organized records. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation. u2022 Strong understanding of accounts payable workflows and vendor management. u2022 Experience with accounts receivable and B2B collections is a plus. u2022 Knowledge of cash applications and general ledger coding. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools.
