Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will handle essential accounting operations and collaborate with other corporate staff to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have strong accounting expertise and the ability to solve problems effectively while maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable following established procedures. u2022 Process vendor invoices, mortgages, and other payments in compliance with organizational policies. u2022 Deposit funds and verify all transactions with corresponding documentation. u2022 Review and validate data submitted by managers for accuracy and completeness. u2022 Reconcile monthly bank statements and prepare sales tax reports. u2022 Generate annual vendor 1099 forms and other year-end financial reports. u2022 Develop detailed spreadsheets and reports related to delinquency and budget tracking. u2022 Address accounting inquiries from employees, vendors, or clients while safeguarding sensitive information. u2022 Analyze cash flow projections and manage transfers between accounts, keeping thorough records. u2022 Communicate effectively with relevant staff to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely financial transactions. Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications. u2022 Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. u2022 Experience preparing journal entries and sales tax reports. u2022 Excellent time management and organizational skills. u2022 Proven ability to solve problems and communicate effectively. u2022 High level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
