Description Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This role involves ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, leadership skills, and a commitment to driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and supervise the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals. u2022 Oversee compliance with all relevant financial regulations, policies, and tax requirements. u2022 Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets. u2022 Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data. u2022 Manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and fostering growth with attention to detail. u2022 Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of all financial transactions. u2022 Monitor cash flow and provide strategic planning for financial sustainability. u2022 Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance. u2022 Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency. Job Order: 03600-0013384145 Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role. u2022 Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). u2022 Proficiency in financial reporting and month-end close processes. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Effective communication and leadership abilities. u2022 CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
