Position Summary If you're energized by the idea of building Beauty and Personal Care products from the ground up and seeing your work come to life on shelves, this is where your passion meets purpose. As an Assistant Product Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our Store Brands portfolio by executing beauty and personal care product development initiatives that align with strategic business goals. This role is focused on operational excellence across the product lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate execution of new product launches that meet customer needs and drive category performance. You will report directly to a Product Development Manager and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: Tactical Project Execution - 60% + Support the Product Development Manager in every aspect of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) lifecycle u2013 from concept, launch, improvements, and potentially sunsetting u2013 acting as a key point of contact between vendors and internal teams (e.g., packaging, regulatory, sourcing, and marketing). + Manage item setup & maintenance processes including vendor onboarding, UPC generation, factory updates, specification updates and data accuracy across systems. + Maintain and organize key product documentation including planograms information, samples, ingredient specifications, pricing, and launch timelines with minimal support. + Assist in market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and innovation opportunities. Strategy Planning - 40% + Assist the Product Development Manager in their development and alignment of category strategy and product roadmap (with support including: analyses, competitive retail and product assessments, attending tradeshow/conferences & vendor meetings, etc.) + Facilitate and assist in the preparation of leadership level materials with key cross-functional partners for critical milestone meetings such as: + Planogram Review + Product Pipeline Review & New Item Presentation Meetings + Category Planogram Strategy Kickoffs + Various executive level business reviews + Develop & refine critical strategy building skillsets as you learn how to launch Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) in a fast-paced retail environment. Required Qualifications + 3+ years of experience in Product Development or related field + Attention to detail and critical milestones with little oversight required to ensure information is accurate and on time + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust amongst colleagues as demonstrated by successful collaboration to achieve shared goals + Strong time management skills, evidenced by experience being accountable to multiple deliverables on staggered deadlines + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to: Deliver executive-quality communications, presentations, and analyses under tight deadlines. Communicate clearly with small and large groups, both internally and externally + Travel requirements u2013 up to 10% travel expected + Must live within a commutable distance from Woonsocket, RI. The schedule is hybrid with in-office days Preferred Qualifications + Continuous improvement mindset, focused on simplifying processes and enhancing colleague and customer experience + High personal integrity and sound judgment + Experience with Microsoft Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. + 3+ years of experience in a retail and/or corporate environment Education Bacheloru2019s degree required, or commensurate work experience Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $46,988.00 - $112,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
