This role owns delivery outcomes, team development, and operational excellence, ensuring engineering work aligns with business goals and is executed predictably, transparently, and to a high standard. The tech stack is primarily Ruby, and this isu00a0first and foremostu00a0a senior Ruby role.u00a0 This is an engineering management role with significant hands-on coding responsibilities. It includes defining scope, partnering with Product Managers to groom and refine work for development, and serving as the technical lead for the product. The Product Engineering Manager works closely with Product, Design, and company leadership to drive clear ownership, smooth execution, and continuous improvement across the product development lifecycle.u00a0 You must reside in one of these US states:u00a0AZ, CO, FL, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NV, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, VT, WI or one of these provinces in Canada: Ontariou00a0 What Youu2019ll Do:u00a0 u00a0Team Leadership & Developmentu00a0 + Lead and develop a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.u00a0 + Embed mentorship and skill development into day-to-day delivery work.u00a0 + Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performingu00a0teamu00a0culture.u00a0 + Treat QA and technical contributors as first-class partners in delivery.u00a0 + Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development.u00a0u00a0 Product & Delivery Ownershipu00a0 + Own engineering delivery outcomes for the product, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope.u00a0 + Translate product and business requirements into clear technical plans and execution milestones.u00a0 + Define scope of work and work with Product Managers to groom and refine tasks for development.u00a0 + Balance scope, timelines, quality, and technical tradeoffs in partnership with Product Management.u00a0 + Establish predictable execution using clear, documented processes and artifacts.u00a0u00a0 Technical Leadership & Standardsu00a0 + Provide technical oversight to ensure sound design, maintainable systems, and high-quality implementations.u00a0 + Review technical designs and contribute to informed technical decision-making; the codebase isu00a0primarily Ruby, with Node, Kotlin, and Swift used elsewhereu2014strong Ruby experience isu00a0requiredu00a0to effectively lead, review, and contribute.u00a0 + Uphold defined standards of excellence for engineering work and outputs.u00a0 + Ensure reliability, performance, and security expectations are met.u00a0u00a0 Cross-Functional Collaborationu00a0 + Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to align priorities andu00a0dependencies.u00a0 + Establish clear points of contact, ownership, and expectations across Product, Engineering, and Design.u00a0 + Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.u00a0u00a0 Operational Excellenceu00a0 + Treat undocumented or unclear processes as operational risks and address them as part of normal delivery work.u00a0 + Contribute to evolving, version-controlled process documentation.u00a0 + Track and use delivery, quality, and team health metrics to improve predictability and outcomes.u00a0 + Support incident management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.u00a0u00a0 Whatu00a0Youu2019llu00a0Need (Minimum Qualifications):u00a0 + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, oru00a0a relatedu00a0field, or equivalent experience.u00a0 + 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles, withu00a0demonstratedu00a0leadership responsibility.u00a0 + Senior-level Ruby experience (this is primarily a Ruby role); familiarity with Node, Kotlin, and Swift (or similar stacks) is a plus.
