JOB SUMMARY The Group Leader supports the Supervisor in overseeing daily departmental operations to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of department processes and equipment, and involves guiding team members, managing workflow, and assisting with scheduling and materials coordination. The Group Leader also plays a key role in problem-solving, employee coaching, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. YOUR IMPACT _These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:_ + Perform and demonstrate key departmental tasks with a high level of proficiency. + Apply knowledge of standards, equipment, tools, and workflow to identify and implement process improvements. + Provide daily feedback, coaching, and support to team members to enhance performance. + Mentor and assist in training new employees. + Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules. + Support and enforce production policies and procedures. + Assign tasks and lead by example through hands-on work. + Assist with inspections and ensure product quality before final release. + Interact professionally with customers and customer representatives as needed. + Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including team members, management, and HR. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and 6S standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + 6 months or more experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting. + Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands. + Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS + Previous leadership experience. + Associate or trade certificate(s) related to the job function. + Computer literate with Microsoft office. WORKING CONDITIONS _The following represents general working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances._ + This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations. + The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment. + Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required. + Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace. + Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure access to all essential job functions.
