About the Role: The team memberu2019s Number One job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time. You will work in close collaboration with radiologists and other clinical specialists to obtain high-quality ultrasound images while ensuring the patient experience is safe, calm, and empathetic. Key Responsibilities: u2728 Clinical Excellence & Imaging: + Perform ultrasound procedures per clinical protocols and physician orders. + Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring clear, diagnostic-quality images. + Adjust protocols based on individual patient needs and clinical presentation. + Conduct quality assurance checks and routine maintenance on equipment. ? Documentation & Reporting: + Document patient history, limitations, allergies, and consents accurately. + Record all required imaging details, including body part and laterality. + Enter procedure data into the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintain daily patient logs. + Properly charge for all completed procedures. ? Environment & Supplies: + Maintain a clean, organized ultrasound suite, including exam surfaces and accessory equipment. + Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs proactively. + Follow universal precautions and infection control protocols at all times. ? Patient Interaction & Care: + Explain procedures thoroughly to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation. + Prioritise patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging experience. + Ensure timely patient flow and support efficient appointment scheduling. + Assist with patient movement and positioning as needed. ? Teamwork & Collaboration: + Participate in staff meetings and practice performance discussions. + Foster strong, respectful communication with team members and other departments. + Demonstrate flexibility and reliability to support team and departmental goals. ?ufe0f Safety & Compliance: + Use Novant Healthu2019s First Do No Harm safety tools and high reliability practices. + Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and Novant Health compliance standards. + Maintain confidentiality and display a mature, professional demeanor. ?
