JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: Controls Technician II Location: Madison, WIJob Id: 928 # of Openings: 1 TITLE: CONTROLS TECHNICIAN II LOCATION:Madison, Wisconsin POSITION SUMMARY: Controls Technicians monitor thecontrol systems of automated equipment. They use software to verify thatthe controls are within certain parameters and work to quicklytroubleshoot problems when they arise to avoid or minimize interruptionsto production. The Controls Technicians II works under generalsupervision, independently performing the essential functions at anadvanced level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform thisjob successfully, an individual must be able to perform the followingsatisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential functions. Responsible for providing an advanced level ofexpertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing all aspects ofthe building automation systems. Must have the ability to maintain,improve, and participate in troubleshooting HVAC equipment servingthroughout mission critical facilities. Install, configure, test andmaintain application software and system management tools Oversightand hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanicalsystems are desired, across the spectrum of technologies that supportcontinuous operations. Basic writing and verbal skills are required.Effectively communicate with the site management team and the customerto understand requirements and solve complex facility system problems.An understanding or ability to quickly learn electrical and mechanicalsystems along with prior experience with facilities systemtroubleshooting is highly desirable. This position may collaboratewith other specialized technicians, mechanics or subcontractors toperform facility-related maintenance and repairs. Providesinstruction, mentors and trains less skilled technicians as needed.Mechanical and Electrical systems oversight, oversee and monitor allcomponents of the site infrastructure to ensure operational integrity.Participate in test & commissioning phases of construction forvalidation of programming Perform data integration of equipmentutilizing various field protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.) Monitor'ssuppliers and third-party vendors as required Communicate with remoteand local supporting personnel via email and telephone Demonstratesattention to detail, good comprehensive and analytical skills, andexcellent organizational skills.
