Senior Technology Engineer - Erlanger, KY This is an exempt level position About the Role: As a Senior Technology Engineer, you will represent the Engineering Technology Center for Flavors, with a primary focus on the North America region and potential support for South America. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving strategic technology investments and project execution across our manufacturing network. What You'll Do: Guide strategic capital investment decisions in the region, managing an annual portfolio of $20-35M Help prioritize investments to maximize return on invested capital Identify and drive technology and automation strategy across the region Lead key projects from start to finish, managing process engineering, project management, and construction oversight Partner with plant teams to determine the most effective approach for project execution Connect regional stakeholders with centers of excellence expertise across ADM Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout project lifecycles Drive accountability through readiness gate (RG), front end loading (FEL), and authorization for expenditure (AFE) processes Champion new technology proposals and innovations Support plant personnel in diagnosing operational challenges and recommending solutions Lead initiatives for advanced shop floor automation, process control, and optimization Drive a culture of safety and food safety through technology solutions Implement performance metrics to track and improve process effectiveness Oversee capital planning, tracking, approval, and project closure for operational initiatives Act as a primary user of WAVE software to manage the regional initiative portfolio Support site capital budgeting for continuous improvement and non-discretionary projects What You'll Need: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred) 10-15+ years of experience leading complex engineering projects in food manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise in liquid blending, liquid emulsions, and dry blending Experience with sanitary design principles and applications Strong understanding of process controls and digital technologies Commitment to safety practices and awareness for the wellbeing of others Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across all organizational levels Comfort working in manufacturing environments, including areas with extreme temperatures, and ability to walk long distances, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate confined spaces Willingness to travel up to 25% to sites primarily in North America, with some travel to Latin America Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering Experience in dairy, flavors, or ingredients manufacturing (5+ years) Spray drying experience in the food industry Direct experience with flavor manufacturing operations including spray drying, dry blending, emulsions, reactions, separations, distillation, and filtration Controls and plant automation knowledge CAD modeling experience Proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or bioprocess engineering Budget management experience for large-scale projects Background in operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a results-focused approach Strategic thinking and planning capabilities Self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Proficiency with standard software applications Financial acumen and business mindset Project management capabilities Fluent in English Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
