Description We are looking for a 2+ year Foreign Trade Zone / US Customs Specialist to join our client's team in North Phoenix, Arizona. This role requires expertise in compliance and customs regulations, with a focus on foreign trade zones and import classifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing customs audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and supporting organizational compliance initiatives. This is a fully in-office role and relocation assistance is provided. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the classification of imported goods to determine duties and taxes in accordance with U.S. Customs regulations. u2022 Conduct comprehensive audits to ensure compliance with annual U.S. Customs requirements. u2022 Manage and maintain compliance within foreign trade zones, addressing any regulatory concerns. u2022 Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support customs audits and compliance processes. u2022 Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments. u2022 Identify and mitigate compliance risks through due diligence and proactive measures. u2022 Monitor changes in customs regulations and implement necessary adjustments to internal processes. u2022 Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs and foreign trade zone requirements. u2022 Support the organization in maintaining compliance with all applicable trade laws. u2022 Assist in preparing for and responding to inquiries or audits from regulatory agencies. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with U.S. Customs and Foreign Trade Zones. u2022 Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import classifications. u2022 Proficiency in conducting audits and preparing detailed compliance reports. u2022 Experience working with customs brokerage and managing compliance risks. u2022 Solid understanding of due diligence processes within trade compliance. u2022 Excellent report writing and documentation skills. u2022 Ability to stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address compliance challenges.
