Summary: Meta is looking for a Global Head of Label Business Development to join the Music & Content Business Development (MCBD) team at Meta.Reporting to the Director of Label & Product Business Development, this leader will develop and oversee the deal-making and business strategy for our global music deals with record labels and other third-party stakeholders. In service of this goal, they will drive strategy and collaborate with a range of stakeholders across business development, product, partnerships, legal, finance, ops, and other areas, with an eye to aligning relevant teams on deal strategy, budgets, negotiations, and deepening partner relationships. They will be an accelerant to complex, high intensity projects, bringing together the right deal-making and relationships to advance key priorities in a highly collaborative manner.The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience and contacts in blanket music licensing deals with record labels and/or music publishers. They will bring a proven track record in negotiations & deal-making, solving complex problems, and leading cross-functional teams. They will have experience leading business strategy, and a highly-attuned product sense.This role offers an impactful remit across Metau2019s family of apps and services, to grow the availability and impact of music for users across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads and more in a way that drives ongoing mutual benefit for Meta and music partners alike. Required Skills: Head of Label Business Development (Music) Responsibilities: 1. Craft and secure cross functional alignment on global music label business development strategy (including budgets, terms, and timing) 2. Negotiate music label licensing deals with top global record labels and other content partners 3. Manage global label licensing budgets and efficiencies 4. Deepen partner relationships via close partnership management and investment in mutual value levers (promo, data, insights) 5. Lead other strategic initiatives in music and/or content as required Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 6. 10+ years of relevant work experience in business development, commercial negotiations, and partnerships, preferably within the Music, Content, or digital media industries 7. Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing multi-year, high value complex music and/or content deals (including contract negotiations) 8. Demonstrated experience of engaging across multiple levels of decision makers from C-Level, through VP and Director / Managerial stakeholders to build consensus influence decision-making processes 9. Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with proven track record to adapt to varied audiences and different perspectives 10. BS or BA Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 11. Demonstrable understanding of how content operations, rights management, and music technology works, including an active interest in Meta products and the digital content ecosystem 12. Proven track record leading and executing multiple time-sensitive projects in parallel 13. Proven experience in working successfully with cross-functional peers and stakeholders in technology organizations, both internally and externally 14. Demonstrable project management and quantitative analytical skills, including effective strategic planning and budget modelling 15. Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy 16.
