WHEDA is seeking 2 INTERNS to join our Single-FamilyTeam in our Madison facility. SALARY: $18.00/hr POSITION OVERVIEW: TheSingle-Family Intern position will provide support and processimprovement related to mortgage lending programs managed by theSingle-Family department. The position will provide a unique opportunityto learn about all facets of the mortgage lifecycle, includingoriginating, processing, underwriting, quality control, servicing anddefault management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Review and process single familyloan application documents, including splitting and indexing loandocumentation related to borrower's income, assets, credit, collateral,and regulatory disclosures. Review and process single family loanclosing documents, including splitting and indexing loan closingpackages and trailing documents, such as final title policies, recordedmortgages and recorded assignment of mortgages. Review and processincoming payoff quote requests. Review and process hazard insurance.Actively engages in mortgage industry training opportunities andsuccessfully completed self-study requirements. Performs or assists withother duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma; AND 0 to 2years of accredited college education in business, finance, or relatedfield; OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong adherence to confidentiality in workingwith clients and vendors. Proficiency with computer software, MicrosoftOffice, and the internet Excellent verbal and written communicationskills Ability to work independently and efficiently. Successfulprioritizing and management of work projects Attention to detail, andability to troubleshoot for process improvement. Remote Work Options:This position has a work schedule that will initially be 100% in-office.After training is complete, it is at the discretion of the directmanager when the employee may begin a hybrid work schedule.
