Home Rehabilitation Manager Summary Purpose for the Position: Provide the daily oversight of the operations and crew activity of the Housing Rehabilitation and Energy Services programs needed to achieve program production and maintain work quality requirements. Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill): BA Degree and one year of experience. Or 5 years related experience in Housing Rehabilitation or Construction. Knowledgeable of housing programs and local housing codes. Possess computer knowledge and proficiency with Word Processing, spreadsheet and data base programs (Microsoft Word, Excel). Must be able to articulate and describe housing deficiencies, housing program guidelines and other available housing services. Attend assigned conferences, seminars in order to maintain skills current and upgraded. Position Responsibilities: Must understand building construction and systems and have ability to evaluate problems and suggest repairs. Ability to perform daily data entry computer processing utilizing specialized programs. Knowledge and ability to understand and implement program regulations. Demonstrates ability to maintain all required records and reports. Maintain current knowledge of HUD regulations as it pertains to Housing Quality Standards. Offers support, assistance, and feedback to others. Seeks opportunity for continuous learning. Enhances personal knowledge, skills, and abilities Certified by The Building Performance institute as a Building Analyst 1 and Shell Specialist. Ability to initiate action and resolve differences of opinion according to program standards. Correspond with families, landlords, code enforcers and agency affiliates. Demonstrates the ability to express thoughts clearly, both orally and in writing. Work effectively and cooperatively with others. Is sensitive to the needs of others. This position oversees and monitors the work of contractors and professional team members working on housing rehab and home energy projects. Works to understand the perspectives brought by all individuals. Perform housing inspections for rehabilitation and energy conservation projects. The consequence of error on program results in project failure. Perform necessary work specs and cost calculations. Perform pre-construction and interim inspections for rehabilitation work. Demonstrates accountability in all work responsibilities. Exercises sound and ethical judgment. Shows commitment to work and to consequences of own actions. Submit required reports monthly. Represent agency at meetings and other functions. Perform Quality Control Inspections as required. Strives to satisfy PathStone external and/or internal customers. Compliance of program regulations as required within the context of the rehab or energy program guidelines. Works with clients to advocate for rehabilitation & energy conservation services& programs. Working Conditions/Environment: Perform inspections which may involve some exposure to hazardous materials and/or environments.
