: Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This position is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1547 (Technicians)and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 1547 (Technicians). DEPARTMENT:Public Transportation HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm LOCATION:3701 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps. To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and completion of an approved body and paint apprenticeship program, andfour ( 4) years of journeyman level body and paint experience. OR High school diploma, GED, or equivalent andfive ( 5) years of journeyman level body and paint experience. All applicants must possess and/or complete: - Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire. - A valid State of Alaska Drivers License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire. - State of Alaska Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Hazardous Painting Certification at time of hire - State of Alaska / OSHA Respirator Certification at time of hire.
