This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Machinist Job Details Job Location Legal Address - Wichita, KSSalary Range $16.00 - $20.00 Hourly Description DESCRIPTION:Responsible for the set up and operation of 3, 4 and 5 axis Haas CNCMachines, as well as checking first parts, using precision measuring andhand tools. RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure mills and lathes by enteringinstructions, including zero and reference points; setting toolregisters, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculatingrequirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; provingpart programs Load machines with work pieces Verify settings bymeasuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces Maintainspecifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detectingmalfunctions; troubleshooting processes; editing programs; sharpeningand replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures andprocesses Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership foraccomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to addvalue to job accomplishments Meet production goals in terms of cycletime, quantity, and quality Miscellaneous tasks as assignedQualifications EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in anaerospace/aircraft machine shop setting Experience with Multi-Axis CNCMachines a must Experience with Haas machines/controls preferredREQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to liftat least 50 lbs. Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in amanufacturing setting Must have reliable transportation Ability to readand write English Proficient in blue print reading Knowledge of handtools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometersAbility to stay on task with minimal supervision Problem solving skillsa must Strong communication skills and a good eye to detail
