This role is for a Systems Engineer role at MFC working in classified areas supporting DoD critical programs on engineering networks and special test equipment in labs. u2022 Workstation/Server administration on heterogeneous networks including Red Hat-based Linux distributions, Windows 10/11, Windows Server based domains. u2022 Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching (Windows/Linux) u2022 Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures u2022 Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support in classified areas. u2022 Responsible for implementing effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures. u2022 Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied IT hardware (PCs, printers, laptops, etc.). u2022 Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. u2022 Full-time onsite role, working the majority of the day in closed areas. #CIOLinux Basic Qualifications: u2022 Must have an Active Secret clearance u2022 Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoDD 8570) certification such as Security+, in good standing u2022 5yrs+ Knowledge and experience with workstation/server administration of Linux, Windows, and Active Directory domains. u2022 Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment u2022 Experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships u2022 Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability u2022 Demonstrated collaboration, including interpersonal and teaming skills Desired Skills: u2022 Prefer Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification u2022 Experience building, operating, and maintaining secure operating system configurations as well as secure networks with demonstrated technical knowledge u2022 Experience working in Active Directory domains u2022 Scripting ability to support system administration activities and automation (i.e. Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.) u2022 Linux + certification u2022 AWS and/or Cloud Certification u2022 Virtualization Technologies Hyper-V, vmWare, etc. u2022 Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills u2022 Experience managing McAfee anti-virus updates on Windows and Linux/Unix; prefer ePO experience u2022 Technical documentation creation and management; including designing, building, and documenting new environments/systems u2022 Experience developing and maintaining Windows or Linux baselines, including security settings and hardening u2022 Intuitive thinker that can contrive and implement new solutions to technical problems u2022 Knowledge and experience implementing technical requirements on multiple operating systems for NISPOM Chapter-8, JAFAN, JSIG, DoD RMF, and other protection level caveats u2022 Understanding of basic routing/switching networking concepts u2022 Prefer experience working in Linux Environments (Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky, etc) u2022 Familiarity with engineering software and license mechanisms, particularly FlexLM Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
