GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, assist in transporting vehicles to and from the hospital entrance to valet parking areas and assists in traffic control at the hospital entrances. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: u00b7 Greet and assists patients and /or visitors with vehicles when arriving or departing from the hospital. u00b7 Assists patients and /or visitors into and out of vehicles as the need or request arises must possess ability to lift at least 50lbs. u00b7 Receives cars from staff or visitors, drives to assigned parking area and returns when requested, in a safe and quick manner. u00b7 Examines each valet car received for any dents and/or scratches and notes damage on valet ticket and reports damage to Leader prior to parking. u00b7 Issues ticket to patient/visitor. Responsible for accurately completing valet ticket and turns into appropriate drop area. u00b7 Responsible for accounting of all tickets issued and their appropriate use. All vehicles entrusted to valet drivers will be treated with care. There will be no speeding, careless use, squealing wheels or other mistreatment of said vehicles. u00b7 Responsible for informing leader/supervisor or manager of any changes or restrictions in driving license privileges. u00b7 Responsible for all equipment and supplies necessary to perform responsibilities. u00b7 Performs other related duties as required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: u2022 Referred High School/G.E.D. equivalent preferred. u2022 Must be able to read and write to understand oral and written instructions. u2022 Must learn to operate a manual transmission upon hire. u2022 Must have near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception when driving vehicles.
