JobSummary The Mammography Technologist at Prevea Health performsdiagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance to the Radiologistprotocols. This role is mainly responsible for conducting mammogramswhile also supporting general x-ray. What you will do Performsmammography and general imaging that may include specialty such asOrthopedics. Position imaging equipment and adjust techniques asappropriate to patient body habitus Record, process, and maintainpatient data within the electronic medical record and PACs pletes all image processing procedures and QC testing. FollowsRadiologist protocols to ensure images are of diagnostic quality. Useradiation safety measures and protection devises to comply withgovernment regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staffCommunicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinicalhistory, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and addressany questions or concerns Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing asordered by providers Potential to rotate on mobile mammography unit.Education Qualifications Graduation from an accredited or approvedprogram in Radiological Technology Required Experience Qualifications1-3 years Current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology preferablymammography. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu ofone year current clinical experience. Preferred Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of anatomy, physiology and positioning to sufficiently imagethe area/areas of interest.
