Description The ideal candidate will be in the Twin Cities Metro area with the ability to work onsite as needed at the Bloomington Q-Central office. Remote work may be an option for candidates in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Nevada, and outside the Twin Cities Metro area in Minnesota. Please note, relocation assistance is not available at this time. About the Role As the Warehouse Management Application Manager, you will lead the Distribution Center Systems team within our Technology Department. Youu2019ll be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of our warehouse management systems (WMS) and related applications. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, system reliability, and continuous improvement across all distribution center technology platforms. Youu2019ll collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and distribution center leadership to maximize supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development (50%) + Direct and mentor the WMS team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance. + Set clear team goals, resolve issues, and provide ongoing coaching and career development. + Oversee release and upgrade schedules, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption. + Promote continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies. Solutions Architecture & Technical Stewardship (35%) + Lead the design, implementation, and support of WMS and supporting systems (shipping, material handling, cartonization, robotics). + Ensure solutions meet business requirements, compliance standards, and customer expectations. + Guide developers and consultants in technical execution, integration (REST/SOAP APIs), and troubleshooting. + Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Project & Change Management (10%) + Plan, initiate, and manage cross-functional technology projects and process improvement initiatives. + Facilitate requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication. + Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery within scope and timeline. + Lead training and change management efforts for new system rollouts. Operational Excellence & Best Practices (5%) + Establish and enforce warehouse technology standards, protocols, and KPIs. + Audit system performance, recommend enhancements, and drive process optimization. + Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements. + Model and promote core company values, including integrity, partnership, and customer focus. + Assume management responsibility for application teams outside of WMS, operating under the same delivery, support, and performance expectations. Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent recent experience. + 5+ years of experience managing WMS solutions for multi-site distribution operations. + Proven expertise with Infios/HighJump/Ku00f6rber WMS (including Labor Advantage), cartonization, and automation solutions. + Strong background in system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs), technical project management, and Agile methodologies. + Demonstrated leadership in team management, coaching, and performance evaluation. + Effective communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills. + Ability to influence decisions and drive cross-functional collaboration. + Willingness to take initiative, maintain high accuracy, and adapt to new technologies. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with autonomous mobile robotics (e.g., Ocado Systems), PackSize on-demand packaging, and SAP ERP integrations. + Prior project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile). + Comfort with Office 365, SharePoint, and digital collaboration tools. + Relevant industry certifications Other Criteria + Domestic Travel: Ability to travel domestically 1-2 times a year, including flying by plane and driving a motor vehicle. Must possess a valid US driver's license and fulfill the requirements of being a Q Approved Driver. + Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work on a phone and computer extensively + Working Hours: Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, to provide support when needed. Budgeted pay range - $140,000 - $150,000 annually Quality Bicycle Products approaches pay in an ethical and transparent way. Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data from 3 rd party salary benchmark data as well as balancing internal equity of other roles with similar levels of responsibility. Individual pay within the range can vary for several reasons including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, tenure, performance, and available budget.
