Solid Waste Engineer Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineering student to join our team as a Solid Waste Engineer Intern for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in solid waste management, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives. The intern will support technical projects, data analysis, and field operations under the guidance of experienced engineers. Duties: u2022 Assist in the design, evaluation, and optimization of solid waste systems including collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal. u2022 Conduct field inspections and site assessments of landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities. u2022 Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports, charts, and presentations. u2022 Support regulatory compliance efforts including permit applications, reporting, and documentation. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability and waste reduction initiatives. u2022 Perform GIS mapping and spatial analysis related to waste infrastructure and service areas. u2022 Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to project planning and development. Requirements u2022 Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masteru2019s program in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. u2022 Completion of at least sophomore year by the start of the internship. u2022 Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or data analysis tools is a plus. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Interest in environmental sustainability and public infrastructure. Schedule & Compensation: Full-Time: 40 hours per week during Summer.
