We'reHiring We are seeking a Youth Development Specialist to join our team.This casual part-time position is responsible for supervising theclients at all times, implementing the program's behavior managementsystem, and providing social and recreational activities. In addition,this position will assist clients in understanding and reaching theirtreatment goals. This is achieved by working as a team, followingtreatment plans, strategic interventions and adhering to the FamilyServices philosophy. Meals are provided while on shift. Shiftsavailable: Every other Saturday & Sunday, or one weekend shift per weekOvernight every other Friday and Saturday 11pm-9am Additional shifts maybe available to help round out our team. Key Responsibilities Fullysupport and comply with program administration, which includesagency/program philosophy and objectives. Attend all staff meetings.Play an active role within the team; share ideas and engage in thedecision-making process. Perform administrative tasks related to YouthDevelopment Complete Daily Behavioral Summary forms Complete anyapplicable incident reports Supervise the clients at all times.Implement the program's behavior management system. QualificationsEducation: Required: High School Diploma/GED Preferred: Bachelor'sDegree in a Human Services or related field, or equivalent experienceExperience: Required: none Preferred: 1+ years' experience working withat-risk youth Other Requirements: State regulations require staff to be21 years or older. Training: In-services developed by the program andmedication management when applicable. Attend all workshops and seminarspertaining to curriculum development, human development, communicabledisease, crisis intervention, etc. The Youth Development Specialist mustcomplete 24 hours of continued training annually. Successfully completeand maintain certification for Adult, Child and Infant CPR and First Aidwith alleviation of choking, CBRF Fire Safety, verbal de-escalation,crisis intervention and a program approved physical intervention method.Why Join Us?
