Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates systems for a variety of national security mission partners for a growing program in Space Protection Programs (SPP) Mission area. This a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to the nation's National Security Enterprise. Key responsibilities include: u2022 Support all phases of the program lifecycle (architecture, development, modeling & simulation, payload to SV bus integration & testing, production, and post production) u2022 Systems Integration, test and other verification activities u2022 Seek and maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies, design, and analysis methodologies u2022 The successful candidate must also have ability to organize, motivate groups of engineering personnel, and demonstrate in-depth technical skills in Space Vehicle (SV) Bus/Payload development. - - - Important Details u2022 Successful candidate will bring 3+ years of relevant systems engineering experience u2022 Active Top Secret security clearance, with SCI / Poly preferred u2022 Ability to work onsite full-time at our Littleton, CO campus Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience with the Systems Engineering process, including architecture, requirements development, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), test planning, and verification throughout the full program lifecycle. u2022 Proficiency in developing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo SysML modeling tool, including development of use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, interfaces and requirements modeling. u2022 Familiarity with program and design review processes, with ability to develop and present associated artifacts. u2022 Active or current DoD/DoW Top Secret (TS) or DoE Q security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required. Desired Skills: u2022 Strong understanding of Systems Engineering practices and processes, as applied to SV / Bus and Payload development. u2022 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities and deadlines. u2022 Proficient with MBSE Cameo modeler, and Ansys STK, or other SV modeling & sim tools. u2022 Demonstrated systems thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and implement constructive change, while adhering to structured Configuration Management. u2022 Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities. u2022 Ability to coordinate & collaborate effectively with distributed internal & external teams. u2022 Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and accountability. u2022 Hands-on experience in Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) engineering, including support for test, deployment, and installation activities. u2022 Proficient with Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering Life Cycle Development processes. u2022 Awareness of LM Space Protection Program (SPP) missions and concepts. u2022 Experience with Mission Class C/D tailored space program rapid development. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
