Journeyman Plumber

Job Title: Journeyman Plumber Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter with proven experience in commercial and industrial piping installations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing accurate layouts, material takeoffs, and installation of large-scale CPVC systems, including elevated pipe runs. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team on complex piping projects. Responsibilities + Perform precise layouts and material takeoffs for large piping systems, including projects involving approximately 5,000 linear feet of 2u201d and 3u201d Schedule 80 CPVC. + Install, support, and secure elevated CPVC piping in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. + Interpret and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and project documentation. + Measure, cut, prep, and join CPVC piping using approved methods and manufacturer guidelines. + Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion. + Troubleshoot piping issues, identify conflicts, and propose effective solutions. + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Essential Skills + Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing/pipefitting. + Demonstrated ability to perform large-scale piping layouts and takeoffs with accuracy. + Strong working knowledge of Schedule 80 CPVC systems, including installation in elevated or overhead environments. + Ability to lift, climb, and work at heights using lifts, scaffolding, or platforms. + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe-fitting techniques. + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Reliable transportation and consistent jobsite attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in construction, plumbing, and PVC systems. + Strong communication and coordination skills. Why Work Here? While per diem is not offered, travel expenses are covered if commuting over 60 miles, including hotel accommodations and daily allowances. Work Environment The work environment includes working with advanced piping technologies and equipment in various commercial and industrial settings. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and safe workspace while wearing appropriate safety gear. Overnight travel accommodations include hotel stays with shared or private rooms based on position level. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Memphis, AR.
